CINCINNATI, OH. – Effective August 16th, 2021, or as contracts allow.
Nease will increase list and off-list pricing on the Naxonate® 4LS and Naxonate® SX hydrotropes. These increases are the result of rising raw material and feedstock costs. Effective on the same date, Nease will be implementing a general rate increase of $0.01/lb on all pre-paid shipments. This GRI will be implemented across all product lines and is necessary as driver shortages and other factors have significantly impacted the overall cost of transportation. This GRI is independent of and in addition to the current Naxonate® SXS increase.

Nease Announces Packaged Goods Price Increases – April 1, 2021
CINCINNATI, OH— Effective April 1st, 2021 Nease will be implementing a price increase on all drum and tote orders. This is for both list and off list prices and is as follows:
Drums +$0.025/lb
Totes +$0.015/lb
These increases are due to ongoing increases being seen with HDPE resin and in cold-rolled and hot-dipped galvanized steel and to the fact that packaging providers continue to pass along price increase after price increase. Drum and tote manufacturers are also citing increases in coatings, cleaning chemicals, other container components and transportation. On top of this Nease has been incurring higher labor costs for drums compared to totes which now needs to be addressed.
This does not affect bulk customers – just those receiving and requesting products in packaged form.

Nease Announces Price Increases – February 1, 2021
CINCINNATI, OH—Effective February 1, 2021, Nease will increase list and off-list pricing on its’ Naxonate® Hydrotropes; Naxcat ® acids; and Naxan® surfactants. This includes all products that utilize xylene, toluene, cumene, and naphthalene feedstocks. These increases are the result of steadily rising increases in aromatic prices as well as higher transportation costs. Changes are as follows:

+ $0.04/lb
Naphthalene Sulfonates (Naxans®)

Nease Co LLC Hires New Business Manager
CINCINNATI— We are pleased to welcome Michael Gilkey to Nease in the role of a Business Manager.
Mike brings with him 14 years of business experience with both Procter & Gamble as well as with General Electric Aviation. Most of his background has been in the purchasing/supply chain arenas. In his hybrid role with Nease, Mike will be responsible for sourcing all raw and resale materials as well as managing several key accounts. Mike comes to Nease with a Business Management degree from Cincinnati State.

Nease Co LLC Announces Customer Service Changes
CINCINNATI— I am pleased to announce that effective January 1, 2020 Lisa Georgeff is promoted into the position of Customer Service Supervisor – filling the void created by the upcoming retirement of Debbie Miniard.
Lisa has been with Nease for the past 5 ½ years in the role of Customer Service Representative. During this time Lisa has demonstrated strong skills with respect to various Nease systems and most recently stepped up to manage and oversee orders of product lines that have long been under order control. She is a strong customer advocate and continues to delight our customers.
Going forward Lisa will manage and oversee the entire customer service group which has been an ongoing asset to the company. Our customers continue to sing their praises and they are a significant and contributing factor to Nease’s recent growth and success.
I am also pleased (and saddened at the same time) to announce the retirement of Debbie Miniard – Customer Service Manager. Debbie has loyally served Nease over the past 28 years in numerous roles. She began her tenure at the Nease Harrison plant transferring to the administrative offices 15 years ago.
Debbie has contributed in numerous areas including customer service, transportation and logistics, systems implementation, ISO management, and procurement. Her talents and skills will be missed greatly and we thank her for her dedication and past contributions to the job. We wish Debbie nothing but the best in her retirement.

Nease Co LLC Hires New Account Managers
CINCINNATI— We are pleased to welcome Matthew (Matt) Sheridan and Nick Janakiefski to the Nease Sales Team. Both are located in Ohio and will be responsible for expanding sales of new products into existing and new markets.
Matt is a Ph.D. Polymer chemist from Virginia Tech. He did his undergraduate studies at Gannon University and obtained his masters in chemistry from John Carroll. In addition he has a MBA from Capital University. Matt comes to Nease with a wide breadth of experience ( approx. 24 years) having worked for several other chemical companies including Ashland Inc., Rahn USA, Lamberti S.p.A. and Dymax Corporation. His past responsibilities were in R&D, sales, business development and product management. He currently resides in the greater Columbus area, is married (to a second grade teacher) and has two boys ( one a UC Bearcat in his second year and the other a high school senior).
Nick is a Chemical Engineer from the University of Cincinnati. He also has an MBA in Finance from U.C. Like Matt, Nick brings with him a significant amount of experience ( 30 + years) in Sales, Business Development, Technical Service, and Marketing in the chemical industry. Nick’s previous employers included Cognis, Lambent Technologies, Oxiteno, and most recently Marubeni. Nick is also married (to Debbie, a Finance Manager at P&G) and has two girls (a Senior at Notre Dame and a Sophomore at Ohio State). He resides in the greater Cincinnati area.
We are expecting great things from both Matt and Nick in expanding Nease’s business as they deliver value to our current and future customers. Nease Expands Reactor Capacity
In order to meet the needs of its’ growing specialty chemical business, Nease Performance Chemicals is moving ahead with a multi-million dollar expansion of its’ manufacturing site in Harrison, OH.
Completion is expected late in the second quarter of the year. “Once completed, this project will allow Nease to manufacture several new products and expand its’ current capabilities consistent with our long term growth strategy,” said Frank Canepa, President of Nease. Products are expected to be utilized in various markets including, but not limited to, Oil Field; Agricultural; Household, Industrial & Institutional; Paints & Coatings, and Metal Working. Nease has invested heavily in this site since it was built in the late 1950’s. This expansion is a yet another clear demonstration of the commitment Nease has towards growing its business and in the greater Cincinnati community.
