Construction

CATEXEL Nease supports the construction industry with specialty chemicals that enhance the performance of concrete admixtures, construction coatings, adhesives, insulation materials, phenolic foams, and industrial construction cleaners. Our NAXAF® dispersants improve cement and concrete processing, NAXCAT® catalysts drive resin and foam production, and NAXONAC® phosphate esters provide superior wetting, adhesion, and corrosion protection in coatings and adhesives. Combined with our NAXAN® dispersants and NAXONATE® hydrotropes, these technologies help manufacturers improve product performance, processing efficiency, and long-term durability in demanding construction applications.

NAXAF® Naphthalene Sulfonate Condensates

These are among the most directly applicable construction products. NAXAF dispersants are used in cement and concrete formulations to improve particle dispersion, workability, and processing efficiency while helping reduce water demand. They are also used in pigment and construction material formulations.

NAXCAT® Sulfonic Acid Catalysts

NAXCAT aromatic sulfonic acids are used as catalysts in the manufacture of phenolic foams, thermoset resins, insulation materials, laminates, and construction-related coatings and adhesives. These catalysts help drive curing and polymerization reactions essential to building products.

NAXONAC® Phosphate Esters

NAXONAC phosphate esters are used in construction coatings, adhesives, emulsion polymer systems, and surface treatments. They function as wetting agents, adhesion promoters, corrosion inhibitors, emulsifiers, and dispersants, improving coating performance and substrate adhesion.

NAXAN® Naphthalene Sulfonates

These products provide excellent wetting and dispersing properties and can be utilized in emulsion polymerization systems used to manufacture construction coatings, sealants, and specialty building materials.

NAXONATE hydrotropes are commonly used in construction cleaners, surface preparation products, and formulated coatings where enhanced solubility, stability, and viscosity control are required. They help formulators create stable, high-performance aqueous systems.
